Hello my favorite ones,
Right before you got here in Boston, rain was pouring down and the temperatures were very low. When you arrived in the US, you brought the sunshine with you and the weather turned warm; we enjoyed a terrific weather during the seven days you spent in Boston and New York, and guess what? Right after you left, the rain started to pour down again, and the weather turned crispy (= chilly)...
All this to show that you made great things happen: a trip to Boston which few people believed could be possible, a meeting with Dr. Tommie Smith to whom you sent a beautiful invitation letter and who called you "My students", a trip to New York where you visited the Statue of Liberty...
You were all amazing in your seriousness of purpose and dedication. Ms. Tazi and I are the proudest teachers in France, and we love you all!
We wish to give our praise and best regards to those of you who could not make it to the USA. We hope you will soon be able to visit the USA as well, and suggest you do not hesitate to contact us, be it in one year, five or even ten years, if you need help or advice for your trip or your studies (penelope.khiat @gmail.com; zfaiza2000@yahoo.com). Of course, this goes for all of you: we'll be very happy to get posted on how every one of you is doing.
Now, here are the pictures and videos that will forever stay as lively memories of the trip that you, Ms. Tazi and I dreamed about.
Enjoy!
